Mtech Digital Solutions has entered into a distribution agreement with XAG and will act as the official distributor of XAG technology going forward. The agreement covers both equipment sales and spare parts, bringing advanced robotics solutions to the market for agriculture, forestry, golf courses, and greenhouse applications.
The goal of the collaboration is to provide customers with efficient and timely solutions, particularly in situations where traditional machinery is not the optimal option.
“The cooperation with XAG is an important step for us in bringing new agricultural technologies to the Nordic countries. Mtech’s strong expertise in digital solutions and deep understanding of local conditions create an excellent foundation for delivering robotics solutions tailored to customer needs,” says Mikko Jääskeläinen, representative of Mtech Digital Solutions.
Mtech aims to integrate robotics, including heavy agricultural drones, into a broader digital ecosystem that leverages the MyFarm solutions and data to support farmers’ decision-making.
Pilot projects and deployments are already underway, and early experiences indicate that the technology delivers significant added value, particularly in precision farming and in situations where wet field conditions limit the use of traditional machinery. The operational and capital costs of heavy drone technology are also very low compared to conventional solutions.
The innovation behind XAG technology has also received recognition in industry competitions. A solution represented by Mtech was awarded silver in the KoneAgria Innovation Competition, highlighting the importance of such technologies in advancing modern agriculture. Read more
Agricultural drones are well suited for applications such as fertilization, reseeding, and cover crop sowing. The solutions can also be utilized in specialized environments, including golf course maintenance and greenhouse operations. Ground robotics is particularly suitable for greenhouse and tunnel cultivation.
The partnership supports the development of resource-efficient farming in the Nordic countries and accelerates the adoption of the latest technologies in the market.
