Farmers will soon be able to transfer task files, such as fertilisation maps, directly from Wisu crop planning to John Deere machinery. After completing the work, the data collected by the machines can be transferred back into field records.
Mtech Digital Solutions and Wihuri Oy Witraktor (John Deere) have started a collaboration to make farmers’ daily work easier and to improve the flow of information between crop planning and machinery.
“Modern tractors make fieldwork easier for farmers. At the same time, the data they collect supports many tasks, such as field record keeping. That is why the integration between Minun Maatilani Wisu and the John Deere Operations Center is an important step forward,” says Tuomas Kajantola from Wihuri Oy Witraktor.
As a result of this collaboration, an integration with John Deere Operations Center will be introduced in Wisu, part of Mtech’s Minun Maatilani crop planning software. The integration connects planning and execution so that data moves smoothly to the machines and back into the software.
“With this integration, the crop plan refined during the winter can be transferred directly to the Operations Center. The execution data then returns to Wisu and includes not only dates but also a wide range of other valuable information,” says Mikko Jääskeläinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Mtech.
The integration reduces duplicate work and helps farmers make more effective use of machine-generated data.
