The Solution: VetDesk
In close collaboration with Dyrlæger og Ko’s product owner Peter Dahlgaard, Mtech Digital Solutions Oy developed VetDesk — a comprehensive digital tool designed to streamline veterinarians’ workflows. Importantly, the solution preserved the core reporting capabilities originally crafted with R, ensuring continuity in valuable animal health analytics.
VetDesk now supports more than 100 veterinarians and 1,000 Danish dairy farmers in their daily operations. Farmers access the system securely through AgroID, a trusted Danish digital authentication service. This integration simplifies secure login and data sharing between veterinarians and farmers, strengthening cooperation and transparency.
The system integrates a consent management module and an information sharing framework leveraging Microsoft 365 services. This approach eliminates redundant systems while enhancing data security and availability through hosting in a secure cloud environment.
