A digital ecosystem around dairy farms is a precondition for meeting the demanding challenges that face the food supply chain: global warming, environmental and animal welfare concerns, responsible use of antibiotics, eradication of hunger, keeping food chain businesses profitable and efficient etc.
Farmers, vets, AI technicians, milk recorders, hoof trimmers, livestock advisors, classifiers, and many other industry specialists who visit farms for a living – all of them use and save data. And those data are necessary for improving animal welfare and controlling the use of antibiotics, among other things.
Mobile applications can be an important part of the digital ecosystem in the food supply chain. They make data capture easy; you could even say hardly noticeable. On the video, our customers talk about the mobile apps that Mtech has made for them: the Nordic Classification App and the NasevaHealthApp. Mtech project manager Olga Smirnova describes how these fit into the complex digital ecosystem around dairy industry.
